task
To develop a website for Autentik, a startup that helps people with autism spectrum disorders. To create a web version of Explain & Reply, a service that helps to recognize hidden meanings in messages.
About project
Our task was to develop a design that would take into account the peculiarities of people with autism spectrum disorders. The first version of the website for the conference was released in two days. Two weeks later, the release of the branding took place. Subsequently, we added separate pages that gave more details about the company's products, sponsors, and much more.
design
We did several iterations of the design based on feedback from a focus group of autistic people provided by the client.
To provide the best user experience, we have created several color themes. The visitor can choose between a normal version, a contrasting version for people with color perception disorder, and a dark version. We also used purple as an accent color, as it tends to be neutral for people with color blindness.
In addition, the site has a special mode for dyslexics, which changes the standard font throughout the site to a special one. The main difference between the font for dyslexics and the font for non-dyslexics is the asymmetry of the characters, the thickening of the lower part of the letters and the different writing of similar characters.
development
We agreed on the concepts and started implementing the website on WebFlow. First of all, we developed a landing page that tells about the startup, Autentik and the products available.
Pages about extensions
When we finished the homepage, we started developing different pages, for example - the «AI Explain & Reply» and «Emotions Detector» browser extension pages. These extensions clarify hidden meanings in messages and also help to categorize people's emotions. The developed pages detail how to use the extensions and where to download them.
Autentik AI Blog
After the user selects the club that he is interested in, he can explore all the information about it: the address, the gallery and the description. Then the user can visit the official website or book a venue.
Autentik AI: Explain & Reply for autistic
The web version of the Explain & Reply project is present on the site. User can get a potential response to a message or clarify the hidden meaning of phrases without downloading the extension. We developed the product in a week, thanks to the use of
Streamlit. "Explain & Reply" supports 4 languages: English, Russian, Spanish and French, and also gives the ability to analyze messages based on context.
Different types of content can be added to the article. Starting from photos and videos, ending with posts from different social networks. The client gets a powerful tool to create entertaining articles and promote the brand.
Masking test
On the website, the user can take a "Masking" test to identify autism spectrum disorders. After answering 25 questions about social interactions, the user receives the result and its detailed description.
Additionally, results can be emailed to you in a PDF file. The emails come via MailChimp integration, which helps the company recruit a user base for further investor engagement.
results
The website is now helping the company find investors and customers to spread help and support to different groups of people with autism spectrum disorders.
